When pupils are working below age-related expectations, it is important that they are able to receive the necessary support and intervention in order to ensure they can narrow the gap between them and their peer group.
In order to support this, at Green Gates we offer each child a bespoke interventions package, which identifies the key areas of significant need to narrow the gap in their learning. Instead of pupils being removed from the classroom to receive this intervention, interventions are delivered in ‘Green Gates Gets Better Time.’ This is a 30 minute slot during the day, where staff deliver in small groups or on a 1:1 basis the key interventions for a pupil.
Alongside this, pupils will also receive ‘in-class support’, which are strategies or tools which can be used to support their access to the curriculum.
Below are some of the strategies and interventions we use at Green Gates in order to support our pupils to strive, believe and achieve
