School Meals - Horizons Specialist Academy Trust
How much is a school meal?
The current price of a school meal is £2.50 per day.
Payment is made weekly on a Monday. Cash or cheques should be brought to the schools sealed in an envelope and marked with the child’s name, class and the amount contained. Cheques should be made out to Horizons Specialist Academy Trust.
If you wish for your child to change from school dinners to packed lunches (or vice versa) then we ask that you contact the office and fill in a form.
How can I find out if I'm eligible for free school meals?

Mid-Morning snack
Each day, all children are provided with fresh fruit or vegetables during morning break.
Drinking Water
Children are encouraged to bring bottles of fresh water to school to drink throughout the day. Research has shown that this helps to keep the children more alert and focused. Bottles should be clearly marked with the child’s name and should be taken home each evening to be washed.
Covid 19 Food Vouchers
If pupils are not attending school as their parents/carer are keeping them at home during the Covid-19 epidemic, children on free school meals will be sent supermarket vouchers through the Edenred scheme. All relevant vouchers have been allocated, if you as a parent/carer would be entitled to this service, please contact the school on 01642 570104 and speak to Debbie Henderson.
