Green Gates continues to work towards achieving the Leading Parent Partnership Award. In July 2024, an external assessor visited our provision and confirmed that we had achieved this award. The purpose of this award is to help focus the schools work with parents and families. Home is the greatest influence on a child’s educational performance and at Green Gates we want to do everything we possibly can to help parents, carers and families support their children.
Highlights from the report include:
Green Gates Academy continues to celebrate the fantastic partnership they have developed with their parent body, embodying all that the LPPA stands for.
The portfolio contained an outstanding range of evidence, showing the continuing commitment the school has for the award.
All Objectives and KPIs were covered extensively in the portfolio with further evidence supported by an excellent presentation by the Principal Melanie Lyons (LPPA Lead) and Jemma Cruces (Parent Support Advisor), and conversations with key stakeholders including staff, governors, pupils, and parents/carers.
Evidence overwhelmingly showed that the school continues to demonstrate a commitment to continue to work at embedding the LPPA through further development of Parent Partnerships.
The school clearly recognises the importance of parental partnerships and the impact it has on attendance and achievement of the pupils, as well as the mental health and wellbeing of their families. Stakeholder evaluations, surveys, and emails all show how grateful parents are for the support they are given. Parental Partnership has continued to grow over the years, parents/carers are encouraged to support and take part in a wide range of activities and training courses, which have proven to have a positive impact on themselves and their families.
