What is a Structured Conversation?
A Structured Conversation takes place between the class teacher and the parents/carer of a child. The meeting takes place once a term and the child’s progress and the support that the child has received are discussed. At the meeting, new short term targets are decided and set for the child with the parent and teaching working together to decide the best actions for the child.
What is a Review Meeting?
A review meeting takes place every 12 months. A meeting is booked between the parents, the class teacher, the SENCo, any agencies involved and, where appropriate, the child. At the meeting the child’s progress is reviewed and new targets are set for the child with all agencies, the school and the parents contributing towards the actions needed for the child. The child's statement or Education Health Care Plan is reviewed and updated accordingly.
Covid 19 Meetings
All parent/carer meetings will be taking place via telephone or via TEAMS, this will be based upon the choice of the parent/carer.
