What's Happened January - February 2021.

Week Commencing 08/02/2021

• Pine Group have been creating their Paul Klee's Castle in their art lesson this week.
• Lillie and Lacie have been making waffles in their Maths lesson.
• Staff have collected toiletries and donated them to the hygiene Ban in Stockton.
• Birch group have been doing circuit training in P.E.
• Willow Group have been studying and replicating art from Keith Haring this week.
• Pine Group have completed character description writing about Mrs Twit.
• Elm Class have enjoyed making Play-Doh in golden time.
• During our mental health and well-being sessions in class, children have been discussing their emotions.
• Pupils have cashed in their LOLA stars and claimed their prizes at the LOLA shop for all of their hard work in school.

Week Commencing 01/02/2021

• New gym equipment has been enjoyed by the children this week with very positive feedback.
• Green Gates have been given donations for our food donations for our families by Ellie Rees and Kevin Edwards.  Thank you so much, a total amount of £200 was donated for the food bags.
• Pupils have been enjoying a range of mental and health and well-being activities.  These have included making dream catchers, self-care activities each day which includes hot chocolate and waffle making.
• Elm and Willow Classes have been making their Biomes of Mexico.
• Maple Class have been making their own Blue Abyss Aquarium.

Week Commencing 25/01/2021

• New gym equipment has been fitted in the outdoor area for the children at Green Gates Academy.  This was based on the student council requesting more activities in the outdoor area.
• Pupils in Maple Class have been studying electronic circuits in Science this week.
• Willow Class have been studying pop art during their Art lessons.
• Information on remote learning has been published on our website as required by the DfE.
• This weeks assembly pupils remembered the Holocaust Memorial Day.
